On November 20, the
children had a visit from Olaf Kolzig, one of the
goalies from the Tampa Lightning. He visited the
children and played some games with them. He also
brought them some Lightning Souvenirs.

time!

Children Perform for the “Young at Heart”
Group

 On Tuesday, November
18, the children sang their Thanksgiving songs for
the Senior Citizens at St. Pat’s. They did a
wonderful job. Afterwards, they went outside to have
their picture taken with the money bags they brought
in for a donation to the March of Dimes. If you look
closely at the picture you will see that each of
them is holding a bag of money. We are happy to
announce that we were able to send a check to the
March of Dimes for $127.00 in memory of Matt
Bryant’s son. Great job everyone!

On September, 17, 2008,
Outback Steakhouse presented a check to
Sydney's School for Autism. The check was presented at
an award presentation ceremony at Sydney's School.

Mingle with the Angels a Success |
|
On March 2, 2008, Sydney's School for Autism
sponsored its Third Annual “Mingle
with the Angels” Silent and Live Auction at the
magnificent home of Mark and Christel Yaffe, in
Avila, Tampa, Florida. This event benefited Sydney's School for
Autism and included an awards presentation to
"13 Ugly Men" and Tampa Bay Bucaneer
Derrick Brooks.

Sydney's
Now Offering Transitional Kindergarten and First Grade Classes |
|
The Transitional
Kindergarten Program is a full day, five
day a week program for children who are not quite
ready for kindergarten. The First Grade is
also a full-time program. Both programs are inclusion
setting classrooms designed to
allow your child more time to prepare for
elementary, as they increase academic skills, self
confidence and ease in social relations.

program is created and monitored by Jennifer Rava,
